One killed, 2 hurt in road mishap in Manda

ALLAHABAD: A 30-year-old woman died on spot while two others were critically injured after they were hit by a speeding Magic vehicle near Monai village under the limits of Manda police station in wee hours of Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Rita Devi, wife of Yogendra Nishad and resident of Meja.
The Injured women identified as Sukhrai , wife of Nirhoo and Urmila Devi, wife of Tilakdhari and both residents of Monai were admitted at SRN hospital for treatment where their condition was stated to be stable.
Inspector ( Manda) said that the incident took place at around 4 AM when these women had gone to attend the call of nature.
He further added “ when the trio were crossing the road, driver of a speeding magic vehicle could not maintain the speed and hit them and left one of them killed on spot”.

Inspector added “ The errant driver after hitting women could not manage to stop the vehicle and rammed into a roadside tree and left himself injured. He was too admitted at a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said that a group of three women had come to one M L Tiwari’s house located at Meja village on Wednesday night for baking chapatis (rotis) during a marriage function. They left the house to attend a call of nature and were hit by the speeding vehicle. A case has been lodged in this connection.
