CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education (TNEA) is going to publish the TNEA rank list 2019 today i.e., Thursday, June 20, 2019, on its official website.
The link of the TNEA 2019 rank list will be activated soon on the official website of the Directorate - tneaonline.in. The candidates are advised to visit the official website to check and download the rank list.
Earlier, the TNEA 2019 rank list was expected to be released on June 17, 2019, which was postponed.
"We had earlier scheduled to release the rank list on June 17. It is now postponed to June 20 as we wanted to give another chance to the aspirants, who could not produce the required education certificates on time for the verification process," said Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K P Anbalagan.
The registration for TNEA was conducted between May 2 and May 31. Between June 7 and 13, the authorities had verified educational certificates of the applicants in 46 centres across the state, he said.
"This year, 1, 33, 166 students, who have completed Class XII, had registered for TNEA. Among them, 1, 04, 418 applicants took part in the certificate verification process, compared to 98,000 out of the 1.59 lakh applicants in the previous academic year. So, 78.4% of the total registered applicants came for the verification this year against 61.6% last year," Anbalagan said.
Once the TNEA 2019 rank list is out, candidates would be required to apply for admission based on the seat allotted.
