Soon, no charges for registration of electric vehicles

Soon you won't need to pay any charge for registration of electric vehicles and levying such fee will be waived off for even renewal of registration of EVs. The road transport ministry has issued draft rules to exempt EVs - 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers, from paying the fee, in a move which is being seen as an incentive to people to buy the clean-fuelled vehicles.
