Man arrested for firing in air

Rajkot: A man was arrested for firing two rounds in the air to incite fear to a resident of Old Police Line in Bhavnagar on Wednesday night.
Police said the accused, identified as Bijrajsinh Gohel (25), fired two rounds from his country made pistol to scare Yasin Unal (24) at Crescent Cirle near Jawahar Ground in Bhavnagar. Three unidentified associates of Gohel led by Divyarajsinh Jhala, who had accompanied Gohel, were also booked for the crime.
“The crime was the result of an altercation over a trivial issue of giving a stare. Both Gohel and Unal threatened each other. However, they decided to strike a compromise and meet at Crescent Cirle, where both fought again, following which Gohel took out his pistol and fired two rounds in the air,” said an official from Bhavnagar C division police station.
