Clean up Delhi drains, says Lieutenant governor

NEW DELHI: Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday reviewed the problem of faecal material disposal in drains and bad odour near these and violation of Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016 in Delhi.
He has asked the agencies to maintain proper flow in the drains and prevent dumping of C&D and other waste by fixing accountability of the officers concerned. Baijal gave the directions at a meeting convened by EPCA chairman Bhure Lal. It was attended by Delhi chief secretary, DDA vice-chairman, and other Delhi government officials.
