Wrexham boss Bryan Hughes added to his ranks on Tuesday afternoon with a third new signing of the summer.
JJ Hooper followed fellow forward Leighton McIntosh and midfielder Devonte Redmond in joining the Racecourse outfit.
Hughes hinted that he still had a few more pieces of business to conduct ahead of the new season, but was delighted to bring Hooper to the club on a one-year deal.
Here North Wales Live sports writer Rob Griffiths casts his eye over the Dragons new signing.
Where did Hooper begin his career?
Greenwich-born Hooper was picked up by Newcastle United at a young age while playing for Cray Wanderers, who ironically currently play their home games at Bromley’s Hayes Lane (more on that later).
After impressing Toon scouts, he signed to join the St James’ Park club’s academy on a two-year scholarship deal and rewarded their faith the very next day by scoring a hat-trick against Chelsea under-18s.
During his time on Tyneside, he enjoyed a loan spell at newly reformed club Darlington 1883 and at Workington.
He was released by then Toon manager Alan Pardew in February 2013.
He joined Northampton Town later that summer on a one-year contract after enjoying an impressive trial.
While with the Cobblers, Hooper spent loan spells at Alfreton Town and Farnborough.
What happened after Northampton?
Hooper made just three appearances for the Sixfields Stadium club and eventually joined Havant & Waterlooville of the National League South in June 2014.
It was with the Hawks that he found his feet, scoring 13 times in 37 appearances.
The following summer he had trials at Scottish clubs Dunfermline Athltic, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Raith Rovers, as well as Cheltenham Town before joining Port Vale on a two-year deal under former Wales international defender Robert Page.
Hooper scored 10 times in 51 matches for the Valiants, and would eventually join Northampton on loan and link back up with Page at Sixfields.

What about his time at Grimsby?
In August 2017 Hooper joined the Mariners on a two-year deal after impressing while on trial.
In his first season at Blundell Park Hooper made 35 appearances and scored seven times, including a hat-trick on the final day of the campaign against Forest Green Rovers.
During the second season he struggled for game time and was allowed to join National League side Bromley on loan in December until the end of the season.
And it was at Hayes Lane, also where Cray Wanderers call home, that he re-found his goalscoring touch, notching 19 in 25 matches in all competitions.
He also featured for the Ravens in a 2-0 win over the Dragons at Hayes Lane in January.
What kind of player is he?
Well hopefully he is a goalscorer, as was proven by his record from last season.
But he looks to be so much more than that. He is a big lad and stands at a little more than 6ft, but is a powerful player with plenty of pace and is equally as comfortable with both feet, as shown by a look at some of his highlights.
