“The new POCO F1 update’s size is 390MB and it’s being rolled out over the air”
A few days ago, Xiaomi revealed the list of its smartphones that will be getting the Android Q update. Soon after, Alvin Tse, head of POCO Global, announced that the POCO F1 (review) will also be getting the Android Q update. Meanwhile, the company has released a new update for the F1, which brings the May security patch as well as a few new features to the smartphone.
The POCO F1’s new update firmware number is MIUI V10.3.5.0 PEJIMIXM and size of the upgrade is around 390MB. Apart from the May security patch, the new software update introduces new customisable lock screen clock. It can be accessed by going to Settings > Lock screen & password > Advanced settings. Notably, the new lock screen clock doesn’t work with third-party themes. The update also optimises sorting principles for Wi-Fi networks and fixes the problem of dual apps disappearing after a reboot.
The new update for the POCO F1 is being rolled out over the air. You can check if it is available for your phone by going to Settings > About phone > Check for updates. However, the new firmware is being released in a phased manner, so you may not get it right away.
