The Supreme Court on June 18 is set to hear the plea seeking safety and security of doctors in government hospitals across the country. A bench of Justices Deepak Gupta and Surya Kant agreed to list the matter after Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava sought urgent hearing. The plea is in wake of protests in West Bengal against assault on doctors by the family of a patient.

US President Donald Trump is likely to formally announce his bid for re-election on June 18. It is also likely that his wife Melania, Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen will be a part of the event in Orlando at Amway Center Arena.

Facebook is set to reveal its cryptocurrency project on June 18. The cryptocurrency is likely to be called Libra. Facebook is to release a white paper explaining its cryptocurrency’s basics. The currency is said to be different from its rival Bitcoin in terms of price fluctuation and working.

A Special court in Allahabad is likely to pronounce the verdict on 2005 ayodhya attack on June 18. The police have arrested five suspects in relation to this. The case dates back to July 5, 2005 when the heavily gaurded Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid complex was attacked by armed terrorists.

The Telangana cabinet is likely to meet on June 18. The cabinet is likely to clear a few important bills including the new Municipal Bill, Drone Policy bill and also, increase the retirement age. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will chair the meeting.
