Mobile gaming in India is set to gain yet another entrant in the form of the Nubia Red Magic 3. Nubia’s latest gaming handset is a performance beast.
Premium display
The Nubia Red Magic 3 packs a massive 6.65-inch AMOLED panel with HDR support, 90Hz refresh rate and 430 nits brightness. The display is protected by a layer of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.
Average camera with cool features
Like its predecessors before, the Red Magic 3 is not a strong contender in the camera division. That being said, the lone 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture has a couple of firsts – it is the first smartphone camera capable of recording videos in 8K resolution and 1920 fps Super Slo-mo recording.
Powerful performance
The Snapdragon 855 SoC on the Red Magic 3 can be paired with up to 12GB of RAM. But there’s more to performance than chipset and RAM. And, Nubia understands this concept all too well, adding an improved cooling system to the Red Magic 3. Nubia’s latest gaming smartphone features advanced liquid cooling technology and an internal rotating fan, which keeps temperatures on the inside cool, even after hours of gaming.
Reasonable price
What makes the Nubia Red Magic 3 an excellent value for money proposition is the fact that it starts at Rs 35,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. While the top-tier model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage can set you back Rs 46,999, we’re yet to find an Android phone that actually utilises the full 8GB of RAM, little alone 12.
