PATNA:
Police arrested a notorious gangster, Dularchand Yadav, from his native village under the
Barh police station area in
Patna rural on Saturday night. His two grandsons, who were also present in the house, were taken into custody for interrogation.
Acting on a tip off, a police team, led by Barh assistant superintendent of police Lipi Singh, carried out a raid at his house and arrested Dularchand, whose name once spelt terror in Barh-Mokama Tal area. Considered close to jailed RJD chief Lalu Prasad, Dularchand was wanted in three
criminal cases related to land grabbing, extortion and attempt to murder.
Police sources said at least 12 cases were pending against him. However, warrants were pending in three cases only. He was involved in several incidents of land grabbing recently.
