Kanpur: Illegal country-made liquor unit unearthed in school

KANPUR: Kanpur Dehat police on Monday raided a government basic primary school and unearthed an illegal country-made liquor factory on its premises.
Following a tip-off that some illegal activity was going on, senior district official had directed the Rasoolabad police to conduct a raid on basic government primary school in Gihar Basti.
The police found a country-made liquor unit and raw material dumped near the toilet. Besides huge quantity of liquor, three quintals of 'lahan' (a primary ingredient in the extraction of country-made liquor), a good quantity of chemical stored in containers and sterilisation equipment was found.
