We do not know whether the rumours of Aryan Khan making his acting debut is true. But what we do know for sure is that he is certainly doing a voice-over once again, that too, along with dad Shah Rukh Khan.

SRK and Aryan will be lending their voice to the characters of King Mufasa and Simba, respectively, in the Hindi version of Disney’s upcoming live-action film, The Lion King, which is releasing on July 19. The father-son duo has previously dubbed for The Incredibles, with SRK voicing Mr Incredible and Aryan his son, Dash.

The announcement comes a day after Shah Rukh took to Twitter to share a photograph of him and his son sporting blue cricket jerseys with their backs towards the camera. SRK’s jersey read Mufasa and Aryan’s read Simba.

Directed by director Jon Favreau of Iron Man fame, The Lion King is a remake of the 1994 animated film. “The Lion King is that one movie that my entire family loves the most and it holds a very special place in our hearts. As a father, I can totally relate with Mufasa and the endearing relationship he shares with his son — Simba. The legacy of Lion King is timeless; and being a part of this iconic re-imagining with my son Aryan makes it extra special for me. We are most excited that AbRam is going to watch this,” Shah Rukh said in a statement.

As much as we are excited about the film’s release, we can’t wait to see King Khan and Aryan rule the audince’s hearts and cinema screens.
