United youngsters sent message ahead of pre-season tour

Chris Smalling has given advice to youngsters in the Manchester United dressing room as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prepares for his first pre-season tour as manager.

Solskjaer will no doubt take a number of young players on the club’s tour of Australia, Singapore and China ahead of next season in a bid to help them gain some vital experience ahead of the next campaign.

Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, James Garner, Ethan Hamilton, Joshua Bohui, Angel Gomes and RoShaun Williams were all part of Jose Mourinho’s pre-season squad last summer and Smalling is confident Solskjaer will call upon a few of those names again this summer.

”It’s very much an exciting time for them and you want to see them flourish and help them. I’m sure a good number will come on tour and it’s really a time for them to bond with us, and show the manager what they are all about,” the defender told ManUtd.com.
