Pune: The residents of Ashok Meadows society are irked over the deteriorating conditions of the roads starting from Infosys circle to Meadows society in Hinjawadi Phase I. The residents also had several meetings with Hinjawadi Gram Panchayat, but still there is no improvement.

A resident of Ashok Meadows and an IT professional, on condition of anonymity, said, “The unconstructed 300-metre road is a part of Maan road. During a meeting (with Hinjawadi Gram Panchayat), it was revealed that the road does not belong to anyone, which is why the road has not been constructed properly.”

Another resident from the society, Dinesh Mandhere, said, “Heavy trucks and vehicles pass through the roads daily, making the condition worse.”

“Also, big potholes have been created due to the recent rains. Hence, driving four-wheelers and two-wheelers has become highly impossible.”

“Day by day the road is becoming risky and it becomes difficult for us to drop our children to the school bus stop.

Even if there are light showers, the road becomes slippery and due to potholes, we cannot walk on it properly,” Rasika Adgaonkar, another resident of the society added.

Member of the Hinjewadi Gram Panchayat, Sagar Sakhare, said, “We do not have enough funds to repair the road completely. But still, we have started
the work and tar road will be made soon.”
