US: Four of Indian family shot dead in Iowa house

Four Indians, including two boys, have been gunned down at their home in Des Moines, the capital city of Iowa in the United States.

Four Indians, including two boys, have been gunned down at their home in Des Moines, the capital city of Iowa in the United States.

The victims have been identified as 44-year-old Chandrasekhar Sunkara, 41-year-old Lavanya Sunkara, and their two children aged 10 and 15.

The deceased Chandrasekhar Sunkara was working at the Iowa Department of Public Safety's Technology Service Bureau while Lavanya was a software engineer.

According to the West Des Moines Police, "Two adults and two children, were staying as guests. When the victims were discovered, one of the survivors ran outside looking for help. He found someone walking in the neighbourhood and that person called 911."

The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation is processing the scene as West Des Moines detectives continue their investigation.

Telugu Association of USA is in touch with the concerned department and Indian Embassy to help the family.
