Cameron Rodgers, recent Durfee High graduate, high jumped a personal best 6 feet, 6.25 inches at the 2019 New Balance National Outdoor Track and Field High School Championships at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.

Rodgers high jumped in the emerging elite division on Saturday. He cleared 6-6.25 on his first try and finished fourth. He failed in his three tries at the winning height of 6-8.25.

On Sunday, he competed in his specialty, the 400-meter hurdles, in the championship division, and ran a 56.15 for 33rd place. Meet rules required use of a starting block, which is not Rodgers' preference. The winning time was 51.65.
