Senior party leader JP Nadda was on Monday appointed the working president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
New Delhi:
Nadda is expected to work closely with Shah in the following weeks.
At a brief media meeting, senior office bearers of the party presented bouquets to JP Nadda at the BJP headquarters.
"BJP won several elections under leadership of Amit Shah Ji. But since PM appointed him Home Minister, Amit Shah Ji himself said the responsibility of party president should be given to someone else. BJP Parliamentary board has selected JP Nadda as working president," Union minister and Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said.
