Day temp to fall to 40C till Tuesday

Ludhiana: The residents continued to enjoy the pleasant weather conditions on Sunday after the city witnessed rainfall and winds on Saturday. Met department has predicted rainfall for the next two to three days too.
Met department website meanwhile predicts gradual fall in day temperature to 40 degrees till Tuesday, whereas night temperature can fall to 27 degrees till the same day
“There are chances of light to moderate rainfall in the city in the next two to three days. The rainfall on these days can be recorded even up to 30mm. The rainfall activity is expected to bring down the day temperature and it can even go below normal. Winds can be expected during these days and the speed of it can go between 50 to 60 kmph these days,” said Chandigarh met department director Surender Paul. He added that around June 19, there are chances of light rainfall.
As per met department, 1.6 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in the city from 8.30am on Saturday to the same time on Sunday. The impact of rainfall reflected on the temperatures in the city on Sunday with maximum (day) temperature being recorded at 37.1 degrees Celsius, which is normal. On Saturday, the day temperature in city was 43.3 degrees, which was six degrees more than normal.
