PATNA: Patna DM Kumar Ravi on Sunday asked the executive officers of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) to set up water kiosks at different locations in all its circles – New Capital, Azimabad, Bankipore, Kankerbagh, Pataliputra and Patna City.
Ravi, who held a meeting with PMC officials to review availability of water in different localities of the city, asked the executive officers to take help of non-government organisations, Indian Red Cross Society and other organisations in setting up makeshift stalls of lime juice and other desi drinks where people can quench their thirst.

The DM asked the executive engineers of PMC’s water supply division to set up a control room to deal with complaints of damaged motor pumps and repair them in shortest possible time. “In case motor pumps break down, the PMC should immediately send water tanks to the affected locality,” he said.
Ravi instructed the PMC engineers to ensure uninterrupted water supply in different residential areas. He also asked them to repair the broken pipes to prevent leakage of water. “Pipelines supplying drinking water got damaged at many places due to road digging work. They should be repaired soon,” he added.
