Two arrested for poaching spotted deer in Tamil Nadu

The arrested accused have been identified as M Arul Pandian, 30, and R Arumugam, 37.
TRICHY: Forest officials on Sunday arrested two men for poaching spotted deer in Poolambadi Reserve Forest in Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu and seized a country made gun from them. The officials recovered the carcass of a male spotted deer from them.
The arrested accused have been identified as M Arul Pandian, 30, and R Arumugam, 37. District forest officer Asokan said search was on to nab D Rengasamy, 36, who is a member of the gang.

A police team intercepted the duo at Arumbavur, about 3km from the Poolambadi Reserve Forest, on Sunday morning and handed them over to the forest officials.
This is second such incident in Peruambalur in the last nine days. On June 9, the Perambalur police arrested a 54-year-old man and seized the carcass of a spotted deer and weapons. Police and forest officials were on the lookout for five other poachers who were with him.
