PATNA: Even as the deadline for online submission of application forms for admission to different postgraduate (PG) courses of
Patna University (PU) ended on Saturday, it has allowed some applicants to upload their graduation
marks till June 18.
According to a notification issued by PU, students, who had not been able to submit their Degree Part III examination marks due to delayed publication of results, can now do so by June 18. “The list of candidates selected for admission to various PG courses will be published only after that,” said PU students’ welfare dean N K Jha.
The Degree Part III results of several students were kept pending as they had not cleared their Part II exams. “The results of BSc and BCom Part II exams were published on Saturday and those of BA students will be out soon. Students can also be provided with their confidential marks on demand,” Jha told this reporter.
Meanwhile, PU has opened its online admission portal once again for seeking fresh choice of reservation (10%) from general category students for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Economically weak students from general category can indicate their choice for 10% reservation till June 18.
PU had already conducted the centralized entrance test for admission of students to the Degree Part I courses in arts, science and commerce streams, but withheld publication of results due to last-minute receipt of a directive from the state education department for implementing the new provision of 10% reservation for general category students from the current session.
“Patna College,
Patna Science College, B N College,
Magadh Mahila College and Vanijya Mahavidyalaya will announce the list of selected students from June 20 onwards. The PG departments will also declare their lists at the same time,” said PU sources.
