"May the best team win in today's India vs Pakistan cricket match. Every individual has the right to cheer for whichever team they believe in. So let's be civil about it," Mehbooba tweeted. Her tweet, however, created a a lot of buzz online with many users criticising the PDP politician for her inability to cheer for India.

"Obviously we have, but let's be open about it. Why hide your preferences? I'm supporting India, and you?" tweeted a user who goes by the handle @theskindoctor13.

Aaj Ki Taza Khabar tweeted, "I will cheer for the country which will make me the CM of J&K - Mehbooba Mufti." "In short I don't want to cheer for India but I can't cheer for Pakistan openly," tweeted @cap_1947.
Afew days ago, tennis player Sania Mirza had pointed out the "hype" around the match. "Cringeworthy ads on both sides of the border. seriously guys, you don't need to 'hype up' or market the match anymore specially with rubbish!" she had tweeted on June 12.
