Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been invited by the Centre to participate in a meeting of the presidents of all political parties represented in Parliament on June 19.
The meeting, being organised in the library building of the Parliament, has been called with an agenda that included discussion on ways to improve productivity of Parliament and ‘One Country, One Election’, the issue that the BJP had been campaigning about since some time. Building of new India in the 75th year of the country’s Independence and programme and commitments to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary form part of the discussions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be present throughout the meeting, which would also discuss about the development of aspirational districts.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said the participants could address other important issues of national relevance as part of the meeting.
