Development works worth Rs 30 lakh launched in Vasco

Vasco: Three developmental works costing Rs 30 lakh were launched in Vasco on Wednesday.

The three works are related to the construction of storm water drains and paving of footpaths to ease the pedestrians.

The inauguration was held in the presence of Mormugao municipal council chairperson Kritesh Gaonkar, city ward councillor Krishna Salkar, councillors Lavina D’Souza, Rochana Borkar and Leo Rodrigues, prominent citizens involving Pushkar Joshi, Dr Jagdish, Dilip Lotlikar, Prashant Shetye, Shami Salkar, Girish Borkar, Abhinay Salkar, Swaraj Naik, Uday Binagekar, Prashant Narvekar, Devidas Surlakar, Sameer Shaikh, Babu Satardekar, Sanket Lotlikar, Sudesh Kolgaonkar, Wahid Shaikh besides others.

MMC chairperson Gaonkar while addressing the gathering said that the council has utilised maximum of its funds for developmental works of the town.

He assured that the parking issue will be resolved with the help of Urban Development Minister Milind Naik.

He disclosed that the ward councilor Salkar is constantly following up on the issue of parking problems in the town.

The ward councillor Salkar thanked the Urban Development Minister for his speedy approvals pertaining to the proposals of developmental works.

He also disclosed that the developmental works amounting to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore has been sanctioned for the ward which includes construction works of some major drains which was much needed.
