GMCH does best in Ayushman Bharat implementation

GUWAHATI: It was day of laurels for the state on Thursday.
After Guwahati Medical College and Hospital was announced the top healthcare institution in terms of treatments amounting to more than Rs 10 crore with more than 6000 pre-authorisations in Ayushman Bharat — PMJAY implementation, the state was adjudged as the second best state in the country for the use of IT in panchayat.
In a letter to the Principal-Cum-Chief Superintendent of Guwahati Medical College, Dr R K Talukdar, chief executive officer of National Health Authority, Dr Indu Bhushan informed the college’s “commendable performance in implementation of Ayushman Bharat — PMJAY”
“I would like to congratulate you on being the top health care institution in terms of treatments amounting to more than Rs 10 crores with more than 6000 pre-authorisations Most of the treatments have been for tertiary care like orthopaedics. neurosurgery, urology and cardiology. I hope that funds so generated will be efficiently utilized towards incentivization of the hospital staff, re-investing into the hospital infrastructure and facilities to enhance the hospital capacities for extending the benefit of health services to patients beyond ABPMJAY,” the CEO wrote.

The CEO also commended the efficient and sincere work by Ayushman Mitra’s and medical coordinators in providing quality services to the beneficiaries.
Another statement from the state government said that the state has been awarded the second best state in first class category of use of IT in panchayat system in the ‘e-awards for 2019’ announced by panchayati raj ministry. Maharashtra tops the list while Chattisgarh has obtained the third position.
