Last Minute Preparation Tips | NABARD Grade A 2019

1: Collect important documents

The list of important documents is as follows:

  • NABARD Grade A Prelims 2019 Admit Card
  • An original and a xerox copy of identity proof (preferably PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Voter's Card, Passport, Bank Passbook or Driving License)
  • A passport size photograph

2: Revise tricky topics and formulas

No matter how hard you have studied, the end result will rely on how well you have revised. Prepare a small notebook and jot down all the important concepts and formulas. It will help you in taking a quick glance over the important topics just before the exam.

Check out the important section-wise topics below:

  • English: Essay/ Paragraph writing, Reading Comprehension, Letter writing, Report writing, and Business Correspondence.
  • Reasoning: Data Sufficiency, Puzzles, Mathematical Inequalities, Syllogism, Sitting Arrangements,
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Data Analysis and Interpretation, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Number Series, Percentage, Probability, Profit & Loss, etc.
  • GA & Computer Aptitude: In the case of GA, banking, economy, and finance are the most important topics. For Computer Aptitude, the maximum number of questions will come from computer hardware and software.

3: Keep a record of the problems you faced so far

Apart from tricky topics and formulas, you would come across concepts that have not been mastered. Prepare a list of those and note them down in the same notebook. Pay more attention to polish those areas and keep practising questions on those topics.

4: Do not study any new concept

The human mind responds well to familiar topics, while new or complex topics take time to get processed. Covering a new topic will make things worse for you as it would create a feeling of confusion and overloaded information. Plus, it is unlikely that you will be able to master that particular concept in a few hours.

5: Attempt a full-length mock test

This tip applies to those candidates who have completed their revision and can spare a couple of hours for attempting the test a day before the exam. Attempting the mock test will give you much-needed pre-examination practice and psychological boost.

6: Solve previous year question paper

This tip is an alternative to the previous tip. You can either attempt a previous year question paper or a full-length mock test or both at once, depending on the time.

7: Plan an exam strategy

An exam strategy could be about allocating sectional timing to each subject, setting the order of preference for attempting sections or targeting easy questions first. Technically, there is no fixed exam strategy as it differs from one person to another. You can plan an exam strategy at your discretion.

8: Read exam instructions carefully

The admit card of NABARD Grade A Prelims 2019, will include the examination and centre details. You must reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the commencement of the examination. Use of calculators, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices or possession of any other electronic gadget is also prohibited.

9: Avoid putting extra load on your mind

It is not necessary to follow all the tips mentioned above at once. For instance, you should not attempt both full-length mock tests and previous year question paper at once if you have less time. For those who are yet to complete their revision, it is advised to focus entirely on improving their weak areas.

10: Prefer home-made food a day before the exam

It is perfectly mortal to fall ill, but bear in mind that it is bound to hurt your chances of putting up a decent performance during the exam. Most of the time, the underlying cause of the illness is unhealthy food, therefore prefer eating home-made food to give the exam in the right state of mind.

Last but not least, make sure that you take an ample amount of rest and de-stress your body with meditation.
