Share market update: Bank shares fall; IndusInd Bank slips 3%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with losses in Friday's session.

Shares of IndusInd Bank (down 3.46 per cent), YES Bank (down 1.62 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.08 per cent) and Federal Bank (down 0.98 per cent) were trading with losses.

RBL Bank (down 0.81 per cent), State Bank of India (down 0.61 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.41 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (down 0.33 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.65 per cent down at 30,776.05 around 11:00 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 50.45 points at 11,863.60 while the BSE Sensex was down 150.87 points at 39,590.49.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, GRUH Finance, BHEL, PNB, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, Dish TV India, IDBI Bank and DLF were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
