Minor girl gang-raped at her home

KANPUR: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two men in Kanpur's Ghatampur area on Tuesday night.
The two accused, Azad (24) and Ajmeri (22), barged into the girl's house and raped her in front of her nine-year-old sister, police said. Both the accused are on the run.
The accused before fleeing also threatened to kill the girls if they told anyone about the incident. When the survivor's mother returned home on Wednesday, the former narrated her ordeal to her. Her mother approached Ghatampur Kotwali police and the girl was taken to a hospital for medical examination.
The girl's parent lodged an FIR at Kotwali police station under relevant sections of IPC, including 376, besides POCSO Act in this regard on Wednesday.
