What Conwy bosses have to say over failed prosecution of Great Orme farmer
A fundraising campaign has been set up to pay the hefty legal fees of a farmer whose life was turned upside down by a failed prosecution. Great Orme shepherd Dan Jones was brought to the brink of financial ruin by the case, which saw him taken to court by Conwy council. The 41-year-old, who has been farming the Great Orme since 2016, had to borrow £50,000 from his family to fund his legal defence and was also forced to sell 300 of his sheep and some of his farm machinery.

Delays on A483 Wrexham Bypass Northbound before A55 J38 (Posthouse roundabout).
Train delays
Due to a fault with barriers at a level crossing between Prestatyn and Flint all lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes. There is also weather related problems still on the Chester to Crewe line with no services able to stop at Chester due to flooding.
Homes evacuated after fire breaks out in Bangor
Firefighters are battling a blaze on Bangor High Street. A few homes have had to be evacuated. We have live updates on the incident, here.
