LUCKNOW: BJP chief
Amit Shah will preside over a high-level meeting of all RSS affiliated organisational secretaries, including those from Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday.
The meeting holds significance for UP where regional giants SP and BSP have severed their alliance following a poor show in the Lok Sabha elections.
Sources in the BJP said Shah has sought ground level feedback from organisational secretaries of various regions. In case of UP, the meeting is expected to be attended by UP BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey and organisational general secretary Sunil Bansal. Besides them, regional organisation secretaries have also been asked to attend the meeting with Shah.
UP has four regional organisational secretaries covering six regions.
While the agenda of the meeting is yet to be disclosed, sources in the BJP told TOI that Shah is expected to lay out a roadmap of new strategies counter the Opposition. UP, in fact, will see 'mini elections' in the next six months as 11 assembly seats will get vacated following the elections of incumbent MLAs as MPs in the general elections.
