AutoComplete: Soon Toyotas will be able to put themselves in Park and shut themselves off

Here's what's making news on Road Show. People have a lot going on in their lives these days. I know that I find myself doing more dumb, absentminded stuff than ever. But thankfully, Toyota has people like me in mind when it designs future features Features for its cars. Specifically, Toyota is working on cars that can shift themselves into park, and even turn off their when ignition when a driver forgets to do it for themselves. These features should make their way onto most 2020 model year Toyotas, and that's awesome. Sister companies like Hyundai and Kia have just announced that they're participating in a a series B funding round for self-driving startup Aurora AI. If Aurora sounds familiar, that's probably because it's been working with the Korean automakers for the last year or so, and seems to be making decent strides in developing self driving tech. This round of funding for the company managed to rustle up around $600 million, and friends, that's That's not chump change. ARGO AI has been around for a while now. But in all that time it's been testing its self driving car hardware, it's never found its way to Detroit. That makes sense on some levels. Detroit has wild drivers, abysmal roads and challenging. Weather conditions. But if your autonomous car works there it'll probably stand a good chance of working anywhere. That's why, with the introduction of its thrid generation of hardware.
