In a bid to find an ancient civilisation the Tamil Nadu government with Archaelogical Survey of India (ASI) have taken up excavation process in Sivaganga's Keezhadi

Sivagangai: The fifth phase of excavation has started in Sivaganga's Keezhadi. It was kickstarted by Minister of Tamil language and culture Ma Foi K Pandiarajan.

Previously, the fourth phase was taken up by the State archaelogical department and the preceding was by the Central archaelogical department.

This initiative accosted Rs 1 crore. The discovered antiquated items stands at 5,820 till date.
