An AFL superfan has promised to boycott matches until the league apologises for its crackdown on supporter behaviour.

Collingwood supporter Jeff 'Joffa' Corfe on Wednesday slammed the AFL, saying he would not be attending any future games until it apologised for mistreating supporters.

In a Facebook post, the superfan confirmed all future games were off limits after a recent spate of incidents saw fans banned and thrown out of games for comments.

'I won't attend another AFL game until Gill comes out and apologises to all supporters at the way we are being treated,' Mr Corfe wrote.

'Some one (sic) has to make a stand on behalf of all other decent like minded supporters at the way we have been portrayed.

'Football is all about banter and fun booing and having a go at the umpiring. It's about us you and me,' he wrote.

Mr Corfe said he had never 'sensed' such an outrage in the stadium terraces and urged the AFL to take heed of his warning.

'AFL get your supporter cardboard cut outs to replace us, get your fake crowd noise over the loud speaker systems at all grounds to replace us,' he wrote.

'We are the game or at least we thought we were!!'

Following Mr Crofe's post, many other fans took to social media to show their support and share comments over the alleged crackdown on supporter behaviour.

'So true Joffa. The AFL have wreaked our love for the game,' one person wrote.

'I wont be going either, its not safe for the average Joe to go to the footy,' another supporter stated.

A third person added: 'Its becoming a bloody joke not good enough.'

But not everyone supported Mr Corfe's intention to boycott future games.

'I know it sux, but we're there to support our team. Why should our team miss out on our support because of some stupid rules?' one loyal supporter said.

Mr Corfe's message came after a Carlton fan was ejected from Marvel Stadium on Saturday for calling an umpire a 'bald-headed flog'.

That incident followed another where a Richmond supporter was banned for three matches for allegedly calling an umpire a 'green maggot'.

Despite Mr Corfe's claims and the recent incidents, league officials have insisted there is no crackdown coming from head office, news.com.au reported.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the AFL stated there hasn't been any changes to the expectations of supporter behaviour at games

'For over 100 years, the footy has been a place to come together, barrack, cheer and share in the experience in whichever way you choose,' the statement read.

'The AFL's message to everyone is clear - come to the footy, barrack as loud as you can, enjoy the game and do so in a responsible manner.'

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to the AFL for comment.
