IND vs NZ, World Cup 2019: The start of the India vs New Zealand match in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has been delayed due to continuous drizzle and wet outfield at Trent Bridge on Thursday. A record three matches have already been either called off or abandoned in the rain-hit tournament with many questioning the absence of reserve days for group matches.
Match officials were to inspect the ground at 10:30 and then at 11.30 am (3 pm IST and 4 pm IST respectively) local time start provided there was no rain but it kept drizzling.
New Zealand, who won all three matches they have played so far, and twice champions India, playing their third, are the only two unbeaten teams in the tournament. The two sides did meet in a warm-up fixture before the World Cup where the Indian team lost.
16:25 IST: The news is not good from Trent Bridge.
