* PM Modi noted that strategic communication has improved between the two countries due to which long pending issues like opening of the Bank of China branch in India was resolved. Other than this it was observed that the issue of listing of
Masood Azhar as a terrorist was also resolved due to better communication.
* There was a brief discussion on Pakistan in which PM Modi recalled that he has made efforts but they have been derailed. PM Modi conveyed to President Jinping that Pakistan needs to create atmosphere free of terror and that at this stage India does not see it happening. PM Modi added that India expects Pakistan to take concrete action.
* PM Modi specifically conveyed to President Jinping, to which he also agreed, that both sides need to raise their expectations from their relationship.
* PM Modi welcomed President Jinping to India for next informal summit and the latter confirmed his readiness to visit India this year.
* Foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale also announced that 70 events will be organised to mark 70 years of India-China relations.
