Characters die all the time on The 100, but it's pretty rare to see what happens to them after they kick the bucket. In Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) case, it's pretty impossible to pin down whether she's actually dead or just trapped in some kind of mental prison while Josephine has control of her body.

This exclusive sneak peek at next week's episode, "Nevermind," doesn't make it any easier to suss out where she is, but at least it brought back a long-dead character from Clarke's past! While navigating her way through what appears to be her and Madi's (Lola Flanery) old house in Eden, Clarke stumbles upon her dearly departed father, who's been dead since before the pilot of The 100.

Jake Griffin (Chris Browning) -- or possibly a manifestation of Clarke's memories of him -- reassures his terrified daughter with a long hug and asks what the last thing she remembers is. Clarke, still totally wigged out, realizes the last thing she remembers is dying.

So, is Clarke trapped in a mental prison filled to the brim with all her old memories and friends and family? Or could this place actually be heaven? We know her father would be one of the first people she'd want to see if she did, indeed, pass into the afterlife, and her idyllic little home with Madi represented the happiest years of her life. Sure sounds like heaven to us!

The 100 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
