Two men have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot by Victorian police near the NSW border.
The men were shot after police tried to intercept a vehicle near a camping ground at Barnawartha North about 3pm on Wednesday.
The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting are still being established but police say there is no threat to the community.
Ambulance Victoria was unable to provide details about the men's injuries or the hospital they were taken to.

'There is no threat to the community.'
June Chilvers, a woman who lives near the incident, said she saw at least four police cars speed past her property this afternoon.
'I saw them fly along, four cars,' she said to The Herald Sun.
'I saw them fly past.'
