Two sharpshooters arrested by Ahmedabad crime branch

AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad crime branch sleuths arrested two sharp shooters on Wednesday morning.
The shooters were hired by Shiva Mahalingam, an alleged notorious gangster involved in several cases of dacoity, robbery and murder, for threatening a builder for extortion money.
According to crime branch, after Mahalingam was recently arrested, he had hired the two sharp shooters, Mistufa and Samir, to fire on builder's car and seek extortion money.
However, before the shooters could execute the plan they were nabbed by Ahmedabad crime branch.
Mahalingam, about two months back had shot dead a tea stall owner in Fatehwadi of Juhapura, said a crime branch official. "Since then he was on run and had also converted to Isalm and living in Fatehwadi " added the official.
