Former National Director of Public Prosecutions Mxolisi Nxasana is expected to testify at the commission of inquiry into state capture on Wednesday.
In 2015, Nxasana was removed from office and former president Jacob Zuma gave him a R17m golden handshake.
The Constitutional Court then found that the decision to remove him from his position was an abuse of power.
On Tuesday, the commission concluded testimony on Transnet by Deloitte auditor Chetan Vaghela.
The commission, chaired by Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, sought to understand why Neotel paid Gupta-linked advisory firm Homix R41m after the telecommunications company won a contract with Transnet.
