Inter-state Gang of train thieves busted, two arrested

ALLAHABAD: Sleuths of the Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of thieves involved in lifting suitcases and valuables of passengers from running or stationary trains between Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Ghaziabad junctions.
Police arrested two brothers, both members of the gang, when they were plotting another crime. The police have also seized Rs 4,600 in cash and a stolen mobile phone from their possession.
The accused were identified as Prince Kumar (21) and Nitesh Kumar (19), residents of Pusauli in Bihar.

Inspector R K Singh said: "The duo used to change their operating stations to dodge the police."
They used to travel with valid tickets while stealing the passengers' belongings and valuables.
