Residents can upload photos, video clips on monsoon-related problems on the app

Jaimala, Women and Child Development Minister, launched an app called ‘Udupi Help’, which will help people in Udupi city to lodge complaints and upload photos and videos regarding the damage done by rains.

The app, which had various government departments including the Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) on it, will respond to the complaints within a limited time frame. The app is available on Google Play Store.

It was launched at the District Offices Complex here. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Jaimala, who is also the Udupi district in charge Minister, lauded the district administration for bringing out the app.

There are several problems such as uprooting of trees or electricity poles during heavy rains. This requires immediate response from government departments. The app will be the direct link between the residents of Udupi city and the administration, she said.

Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, Deputy Commissioner, said the Udupi CMC will respond to the complaints on the ‘Udupi Help’ app within six hours. Nisha James, Superintendent of Police, Vidya Kumari, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and G. Santosh Kumar, Project Director, Urban Development Cell, were among those present.
