As everyone will be aware, there are a number of weather warnings in place across Wales and the rest of the UK for heavy and persistent rain today and tomorrow, which have the potential to bring flooding and disruption to transport.

Police have issued a warning about parts of Flintshire this morning.

Huge problems with flooding across the force area especially Flint, Greenfield and Bagillt on the A548 and surrounding area currently. Please avoid the area where possible. Thank you.

Flooding on A483

There is substantial flooding on the A483 near Cheshire Business Park and The King’s School this morning.

One motorist said:

The flooding near Cheshire Business Park at the roundabout near M&S Bank is horrendous and further down outside The King’s School. Smaller cars were struggling to get through the water on the roundabout and cars are having to drive on the wrong side of the road outside the King’s School as the water is topping over the pavement. There were pedestrians struggling to get through the water too - they must have been absolutely soaked. It’s still throwing it down so the problem could worsen. There were no warning signs or highways teams on the scene when I passed earlier this morning so hopefully they can get out and try and solve the issue as it was quite dangerous.
