Air Namibia has reduced its operations to South Africa and cut their flight to Luanda amidst payment woes for maintenance on their A319s.
Out of four of their Airbus planes, three are being withheld by South African Airways Technical (SAAT) until the airline can settle its accounts outstanding for maintenance done on the planes, reports The Namibian.
This has impacted Air Namibia's flights - all flights between Windhoek and Luanda have been suspended, the daily flights between the capital and Johannesburg have been reduced from three to one and flights between Namibia and Cape Town will be reduced from three to two, retaining its flight to Walvis Bay.
Passengers with tickets to Luanda will be accommodated on Angola's TAAG airline, but if the situation isn't resolved the Cape Town and Johannesburg routes might be cut as well.
