Stock market update: Realty shares down; Indiabulls Real Estate slips 4%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (down 4.52 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 2.08 per cent), DLF (down 1.88 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (down 1 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Phoenix Mills (down 0.62 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 0.46 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 0.04 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.98 per cent down at 277.75 around 10:28 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 60.65 points at 11,904.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 209.53 points at 39,740.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SAIL, Dish TV India, PNB, JSPL, Vodafone Idea, Bank of Baroda, Motherson Sumi and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
