Maruti Omni van early on Monday while he was out for a morning walk. The victim, who did not wish to divulge his identity, said he suspected the man at the wheel was a learner. The victim has not lodged a police complaint but a family member tweeted about the accident to the
Mumbai Police.
"I was on the back road, behind
Inorbit mall, for my walk around 6.30am when the car came up from behind, hit me and then hurtled towards the bushes before driving away. I was dazed and could only make out a man at the wheel of the car with a young woman seated next to him," the victim said.
He suffered bruises on his legs. The victim suspects that the motorist was a learner as the car was slow despite the road being empty. The victim lives in
Goregaon and is employed in an events company.
