Tributes pour in for Rajesh Pilot on death anniversary in Dausa

JAIPUR: Thousands of people along with incumbent ministers, MLAs and former public representatives paid rich tributes to senior Congress leader Rajesh Pilot on his death anniversary at the Bhandana-situated memorial on Tuesday. Since Pilot was a mass leader and is known for his work towards betterment of every community in Dausa region, people irrespective of their caste, creed and religion paid rich tributes to the revered leader of Dausa.

Those attending the prayers included deputy CM Sachin Pilot, state education minister Govind Singh Dotasra, state industries minister Parsadi Lal Meena, medical and health minister Dr Raghu Sharma, transport minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas, among others, along with locals. During the prayer meet, people as a mark of condolence observed two-minute silence and also paid floral tributes.
Pilot, humbled with the massive presence on his father’s death anniversary, said, “Nineteen years have passed and still people remember him for the reforms he had brought in the lives of farmers, people, youth to carry them along. I am deeply humbled as a son and we should all learn from the path suggested by him. He was a fauji at heart who never believed in caste, creed and religion and worked for equality during his political stint.” The gathering including ministers and MLAs also pledged to follow the principles on which Rajesh Pilot led his life.
