Man rushed to hospital after broad daylight shooting in suburban street
A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Melbourne's north-west.
Emergency services were called to a suburban street in Bellevue Boulevard in Hillside about 9.40am on Wednesday morning.
A man in his 50s was found at the scene with a gunshot wound.
He was rushed to hospital with injuries to his upper body in a serious but stable condition.
Police are on the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It comes after a series of shootings across the city, including two targeted attacks on a home in Reservoir.
Police released footage on Wednesday of a gunman wearing a heavy duty military vest firing shots into the home as they hunt for the offenders.
The suburban home on Bray Street was targeted twice in separate shootings last week on Tuesday, June 4, and again on Saturday, June 8.
Detectives believe the targeted incidents are possibly linked to outlaw motorcycle gangs and individuals tied to Middle Eastern organised crime.
