Payment processing solution provider Payswiff on Tuesday said it signed a strategic alliance with Mastercard to promote low-cost payments acceptance solutions beyond major cities in the country.

At the core of the alliance is Payswiff’s mobile application SET that allows individuals and business owners to accept payments using more than 60 payment options, including credit cards and debit cards, e-wallet, e-payment links, UPI and Bharat QR.

Under the alliance, to speed up acceptance and adoption of digital payments in the country, Mastercard would work with Payswiff on an omnichannel distribution strategy to provide the app, services and support in regional languages, especially in areas where PoS machines are not easily accessible. The partners would also focus on innovation and addition of new functionalities such as ‘same-day’ and ‘instant’ merchant settlements. This would benefit micro merchants in small cities as they would be able to unlock additional revenue streams using embedded features in the app such as mobile recharge, utility bill payments, and bus ticketing, a release said.
