Department of Animal Husbandry donates 1,000 of them

Krishna Collector A. Md. Imtiaz on Monday started distribution of jute bags, as part of measures to implement the ban on use of plastic bags across the district.

The Department of Animal Husbandry on Monday donated 1,000 jute bags for the purpose.

Addressing the officials, Mr. Imtiaz opined that everyone should ensure implementation of the ban on plastic bags.

One should carry the jute bag to the market but not the plastic bag.

Reports on funds

The heads of various departments have been directed to prepare reports on the status of the Special Development Funds received from the financial years 2015-16 to 2018-19 to provide the data to the Chief Minister during the next Collector’s conference.

On national highways, Mr. Imtiaz directed the National Highway Authority, Revenue and developers of the respective projects to speed up the pending works, acquisition of the proposed land and disbursement of compensation.

Joint Collector Krithika Shukla said that more than 2,500 grievances were yet to be cleared by the respective departments.
