AMBALA: A 14-year-old boy identified as Abhishek of Ekta Vihar,
Ambala Cantonment has reportedly died after drowning in Bhakhra canal under limits of Naggal police station of
Ambala district on Saturday afternoon.
A complaint was registered by the boy's father the next day. Based on the complaint of Abhishek's father, Pawan Kumar , the Ambala police have registered a case against three identified accused under Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 302 (punishment for murder) of the
Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Naggal police station to start the investigation.
In his complaint, Pawan has leveled allegations against the tutor of Abhishek, and said that their son had come to know about the illicit relations of his tutors. In his complain Pawan stated, "My son studied in Class X and Hemant Sethi and Megha offered tuitions at their residence in Satsang Vihar of Ambala Cantonment.
On Saturday, at around 11 am, my wife Namrita received a call from Hemant who asked to send Abhishek for a training in swimming . Hemant assured my wife of taking care of my son and based on his assurance my wife sent him. Later we suspected that they took him for swimming under some conspiracy. At around 1 pm, Megha called my wife to inform that Abhishek has drowned in the canal. They took Abhishek under a conspiracy at the bridge of Narwana branch canal on Matheri to Naneola road, and there is no swimming point. Hemant and my son did not know how to swim and neither did they arrange any trainer.
Some days ago, Megha had beaten Abhishek and asked him not to come for tuitions. We are unaware on why did Megha beat him and why did she ask him not to come for tuitions. We suspect that there is some illicit relationship between Hemant and Megha about which my son had come to know and they have killed him under a conspiracy."
Police officials with the help of divers conducted the search operation in Bhakhra canal for the dead body of Abhishek, but they could not find the same in the last 24 hours. Naggal SHO sub-inspector Jagdish Chander said, "We have been searching the boy's dead body since last more than 24 hours and efforts are still on. Further proceedings will be done once we find the body. On the complaint of boy's father, a case of murder and criminal conspiracy has been registered as per his statement and investigation in being done by police to get further leads in the case."
